Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are also a short drive from Townsend. Pigeon Forge has lots of shops and activities, like go-carts and bungee jumping, to keep you busy. It also has DollyWood's Splash Country, the water adventure theme park owned by country music star Dolly Parton. Gatlinburg is home to Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, Gatlinburg Zipline Adventures, and the over 500-foot high Gatlinburg Sky Lift. Gatlinburg also has many other unique shops and attractions.
